Namrata Shirodkar has been around for about two years . But she’s yet to make her mark in the tinsel town.
Unlike her elder sister Shilpa, she prefers sensible roles. She has secured a place in Mahesh Manjrekar camp and has some of the meatiest roles in her kitty. My best is still is to come, says Namrata.
In the offing is her next film Deepak Sarin-directed Albela, a love triangle. Namrata plays Neena, childhood friend of Tony (Govinda) the lead character in the film. Neena is in love with Tony, but she cannot voice her feelings. Tony, on his part, is enamored of another girl, played by Ash. Albela, offers Namrata tremendous scope to emote.
She had no qualms about playing second fiddle to Aishwarya. Strength, not the duration, of the role is what matters to Namrata.
Albela is slated for an all-India release on 20 April.
