Former Miss World Diana Hayden, who has been turning down offers from Bollywood ever since she won the coveted title in 1997, seems to be gearing up for an innings in the tinsel town.
According to the buzz, Diana has been signed for Shamin Desai's yet-to-be-titled film. Shamin, currently in the news for his film "Auroville 369"(starring Kelly Dorji), is a director with a penchant for offbeat subjects.
The industry grapevine also has it that Diana has been approached by Pankaj Parashar (director of "Himalyaputra") to play one of the three female leads in the Hindi rehash of the Hollywood hit "Charlie's Angels". He has already signed up Sushmita Sen and Raveena Tandon for the film.
Diana concedes that she had "always aspired to be a commercial pilot" but her priorities changed after she was crowned Miss World. While she seems least interested in Bollywood's bump grind routine, she is very much open to sensible roles.
To spruce up her histrionics, Diana has already begun taking classes at London's Royal Academy of Dramatics and Art (RADA).
