Blue-eyed singer-turned-actor Lucky Ali seems to be fighting against many odds to get a firmer foothold in the filmdom.
The bad news on the Lucky front is that he has been shown the door from veteran actor-turned-director Dev Anand's next film "Love at Times Square". Grapevine has it that the septuagenarian director found Lucky (who is in his forties) a bit too old to play the male lead in the film, shooting of which is underway.
Lucky is said to have compromised by agreeing to do a cameo role in the film instead. He will be composing the film's music score anyway.
Lucky's transition from singer to an actor is not turning out to be as smooth as expected. He was supposed to make his big screen debut opposite Sophiya Haque in Aditya Bhattacharya's "Avatar" but the film got shelved half way through. And now he is out of Dev Anand's film. Lucky seems to have run out of luck.
