K C Bokadia’s multi-starrer Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam is not being released due to a number of reasons.
Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam was originally slated to be released in March, but it was delayed to enhance the promotion of the film.
Then the producers decided to release the film on May 17. But David Dhawan too announced to release his Hum Kisise Kum Nahin on the same date. Avoiding a clash with an Amitabh Bachchan starrer, the producers delayed the release again.
The producers then decided on May 24 to release the film, but this was not agreed upon by Shah Rukh Khan. Reason? Just two weeks after May 24, releases Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas. SRK reportedly wanted some time between his two releases. Interestingly, much like Devdas, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam also has the star cast of SRK, Madhuri and Aishwarya.
