Bollywood Hollywood, Deepa Mehta’s latest film starring talented Rahul Khanna and lissome Lisa Ray, will premiere at the 27th Toronto International Film Festival.
Bollywood Hollywood will be the opening film for the Perspective Canada section of the festival on September 6. Early on Deepa Mehta’s “Fire” had premiered at the same section in 1996.
Bollywood Hollywood is believed to be a musical romantic comedy with cinematic sensibilities of both east and west. Yesteryear actors and actresses including Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Mausmi Chatterji, Dina Pathak and Ranjit Chowdhary also play important roles in the film.
Rahul Khanna has earlier acted in Deepa Mehta’s “Earth” opposite Aamir Khan and Nandita Das.
