As both the films are heroine-oriented, the comparisons between Lolo and Bipasha has become unavoidable.
Shaktihas Karisma playing a foreign-bred young girl who comes to India with her husband (Sanjay Kapoor). In India she has to contend with her despotic father-in-law (played by Nana Patekar) who wants to wean her son away from her.
On the other hand Gunaah casts Bipasha as a toughened cop who falls in love with criminal Aditya (Dino Morea) and tries to reform him.
Despite the fact that Karisma is portraying the role of a vulnerable, subjugated woman, she scores over sultry Bipasha with her power-packed performance.
On the other hand, Bipasha looks odd and somewhat pallid playing a lady cop.
