The producers of Sunny Deol’s next film ‘The Hero’ are letting loose their purse strings to make sure that the film matches the standards set by the macho star’s previous hit – Gadar.
The onus is on Anil Sharma (director of Gadar) to successfully make another movie that turns out to be money-spinner at the box office. And the man is leaving no stone unturned to lend an extra punch to ‘The Hero’ that has Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra playing the female leads.
Last fortnight Anil made no less than four hundred workers dig 20 feet into the existing lake at Mumbai’s film city studio. The idea was to erect a colossal, all-glass, dome-shaped Army club that is shown to be located on the Dal Lake in the film.
Anil plans to shoot a song featuring Sunny and Preity on this same 1.25 crore set. Later he will have the set blown to shoot a big-blast action sequence that will appear at the end of the film.
Like Gadar, ‘The Hero’ too is a patriotic film with a Pakistan and terrorism angle in the story. Sunny Deol plays a spy in the film.
The film is expected to hit the theatres around the republic day next year.
