‘Road boy’ Vivek Oberoi is hopeful that his next movie Saathiya will capture the cine-goers’ fancy despite the fact that it is the remake of south Indian flick Alai Payuthey.
Vivek says that those who have seen Alai Payuthey will find a difference in Saathiya. “A lot of things, including the linguistic flavor of film, have changed. Saathiya gives you a very fresh feel,” he says.
Disclosing that his character Aditya in the film is closer to his real life, Vivek says the film’s director Shaad Ali incorporated many of Vivek’s traits in Aditya. Meanwhile, Vivek also picked up some of Aditya’s qualities in real life while enacting it before the camera.
The film has Vivek and Rani playing an ideal couple whose marriage falls apart owing to small misunderstandings.
