Anil Kapoor has been signed to play the leading role in popular Bengali actor Prasenjit Chatterjee’s directorial debut.
The movie titled Vande Mataram will have many Bengali actors sharing the screen with Anil. It is said to have a very strong script and will be filmed in and around Calcutta.
The film, presumed to be a period drama, is being financed by Sahara India Pariwar
Anil is currently the talk of the town for his acting in Honey Irani’s celluloid drama Armaan.
