Too much of laughter can sometimes wipe the smile off your face. That is perhaps the case with apna viraar ka chokra Govinda, who is digging some serious roles nowadays.
Govinda, whose last movie Ek Aur Ek Gyarah bit the dust at marquee (just like many of his previous films), is looking forward to change his reel image. Having played umpteen slapstick roles, the actor is hopeful of winning some acclaim as a serious and sensible performer.
In a recent interview, Govinda said: "I will not do comedy films from now on. But in case I do, the script has to be fresh and new. I hate the same repetitive stuff."
"I want to do good cinema. There should be a good director and quality writing," says the actor who is awaiting the release of his next movie Raja Bhaiyya.
