It is confirmed that Salman Khan's Hollywood project 'Marigold' has not been shelved. The producers of the film Hyperion Pictures recently joined hands with an Australian company to make the movie jointly.
Australia's Becker Films International has decided to collaborate on director Willard Carroll's ambitious $ 10 million venture 'Marigold'. This comes as good news for Salman as it was feared that the movie might be shelved for the lack of sufficient funds.
'Marigold' is the story of a Hollywood actress stranded in India when her film is suddenly cancelled. Left with little money, the actress in desperation accepts a role in a gaudy Bollywood production in which Salman plays the dance instructor.
It eventually turns out in the movie that Salman is also the prince of a royal family.
The actress who will play the title role of Marigold in the film is yet to be announced.
The shooting for the film will begin in early 2004.
