In Manisha Koirala’s maiden production venture, the actress is playing a shy girl who is in awe of her friend and companion, played by Sushmita Sen.
Manisha is nowadays busy promoting her forthcoming film Paisa Vasool. She is confident that the movie will go down well with the audience who are tired of being served the same stale staple from Bollywood.
Speaking about the film, Manisha says Paisa Vasool is the story of two friends who get into uninvited trouble after they play prank on somebody.
Asked whether she plays a comic role in the film, Manisha refuses.
“The characters in the movie are not comical but the situations are. I play a shy catholic girl Maria who is in awe of her outspoken friend Baby (played by Sush). Baby is a struggling actress in the film,” says the Nepalese beauty.
Paisa Vasool is directed by Srinivas Bhashyam and is expected to hit the theatres on December 19. Made with a budget of Rs. 4 crore, the movie also stars Sushant Singh and Makrand Deshpande.
