Talks are abuzz that sultry belle Bipasha Basu has turned down the offer to play a prostitute in director Kalpana Lazmi’s next film.
Titled as ‘The Postman and the Prostitute’ the film explores a relationship between the mailman and a sex worker. While relative newcomer Karan Nath has been finalized to play the postman, Lazmi had approached Bipasha for the role of prostitute.
However, the ‘irresistible’ Basu girl has turned down the offer as she found her role "quite dull." Bipasha says she already has enough good projects in her kitty to keep her busy for a whole year and she wouldn’t burden herself unnecessarily for a role that doesn’t even excite her.
Interestingly, ‘The Postman and the Prostitute’ hardly contains any intimate moments. In the movie the postman and the prostitute won't even touch each other, let alone smooch or get into bed.
As Lazmi says: "It's a very decent film."
Perhaps that is why Bipasha found her role "quite dull" and rejected the offer. A smart lady!
