Alison (Ali) Larter, the stunning star of Hollywood hit ‘Final Destination’, has been signed to play the title role in Willard Carroll's romantic musical-comedy ‘ Marigold – An Adventure in India ’ that stars Salman Khan .
‘Marigold’ will be a film about a tempestuous American actress (Larter) who comes to India to make a low-budget Hollywood movie. Tossed into the eccentric world of Bollywood filmmaking she undergoes a turbulent experience that brings her close to her dance instructor (played by Salman).
Alison began her Hollywood career with an MTV production ‘Varsity Blues’ and came to limelight with her 'teen' movie ‘Drive Me Crazy’ with Melissa Joan Hart. She followed ‘Drive Me Crazy’ with two horror films, the semi-successful ‘House on Haunted Hill’ and ‘Final Destination’.
She is presently working for a Hollywood movie ‘A Lot Like Love’ and will begin shooting for the ‘Marigold’ in June.
‘Marigold’ will feature seven original songs written by Shari Watson, whose hip hop-meets-Bollywood album ‘Addictive’ was a major international dance hit last year. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will compose music for the film.
