After being down in the last two years because of his brush with the law, and making news more for his turbulent relationship with Aishwarya Rai than his films, the career graph of Salman Khan is once again looking up and the actor is expecting a great time ahead.

The recent box-office success of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Garv the latest films starring Salman, only goes to prove that the actor has a committed fan following and still remains hot with producers and directors, an achievement very few actors can boast of in the shifting world of Bollywood.

Tere Naam , which preceded Garv, was one of the last year's top grossers.

After being termed the 'bad boy of Bollywood' by media, the 38-year-old actor is on a new high. ''I am happy with the way things have been going in the last few months,'' said Salman in a brief chat with reporters in Mumbai at the music release of Atul Agnihotri directed Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kahaa. The film, a triangular love story, stars Preity Zinta and Bhumika Chawla besides Salman. Agnihotri, making his debut with this movie, is the brother-in-law of Salman.

Asked if he had changed or mellowed down after the incidents in his life in the last few years, pat came the reply ''Times have changed but Salman still remains the same. I am doing exactly what I've always done.'' He blamed the media for playing with his image. ''Media wrote so many negative things about me though I never misbehaved or harmed them. But once again they have become goodie-goodie with me,'' he said.

Speaking about his role in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, a fun film directed by David Dhawan , Salman said he thoroughly enjoyed playing a comedy role.

''People associate me with emotional and actions films. But I like to play all kinds of roles and have the chemistry to do comic roles.'' The last time Salman did a successful comic role was in Andaaz Apna Apna which also starred Aamir Khan .

''I will continue to act with sincerity and honesty and strive to give good films,'' Salman said.

''When I am doing something, I give it my 100 per cent, but once complete, it does not matter to me,'' was his reply about his philosophy of work and attitude towards life.

Salman will be seen as a singer in Revathy's Phir Milenge, his third release in two months. Phir Milenge, set to hit theatres later this month, is Bollywood's first film with AIDS as a backdrop and also stars Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan .

Salman's forthcoming releases this year include 'No Entry', Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, 'Lucky - No Time for Love' and Dil Ne Jisse Apna Kahaa. The actor revealed that international film starring him, 'Marigold', has been delayed.
