Bachchan does his bit for sonny Abhishek

Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly worried that his son Abhishek Bachchan has not delivered a single solo hit till date.

The whole of Bollywood vouches for the fact that Chhota B is genuinely talented, but somewhere down the line something has gone wrong and there is not single solo hit to Abhishek’s name.

Of course, Dhoom was a hit. But it was a multi-starrer, and besides being a product of the Yashraj Films banner, it also had some wonderful music. The title track of the film is still at the top of the charts throughout the country.

Yes, people liked the serious drooling cop character played by Abhishek in the film, but he cannot be given whole credit for the film’s success.

So, like any father, Bachchan is worried about the career of his son. And like any father he is doing everything in his capacity so that lady luck smiles on his sonny.

Recently in Varanasi to shoot for Shaad Ali's Bunty Aur Babli , Bachchan performed the Rudrabhishek Yagna at the Kashi Vishwanath temple and later the Yash Kirti Yagna at the Sankatmochan temple.

A deeply religious man, Bachchan was accompanied by both Abhishek and close friend Amar Singh of the Samajwadi Party.

Both father and son reached the Kashi Vishwanath temple at 0500 hrs in the morning and performed the Rudrabhishek Yagna under the guidance of Purohit Chandramauli Upadhyaya. Over a dozen priests then joined Upadhyaya at the Sankatmochan temple where the second ritual was performed. Bachchan and Abhishek reportedly sat before the kund (holy fire) wearing dhoti and kurta.

The holy men of the holy city say that the Yash Kirti Yagna (meant to secure great fame and fortune) could turn things around for Abhishek.

Bachchan’s faith in the Yash Kirti Yagna is strengthened by the fact that he himself overcame an earlier crisis in his life by performing the ritual at the Sankatmochan temple a few years back.

Besides the father and son duo, Bunty Aur Babli also stars Rani Mukherjee and Raj Babbar .
