It is an acting fee that even some of the leading Bollywood heroes don’t get. Yet, it is the amount that Kareena Kapoor will receive for producer Harry Baweja’s next film.
Reports have it that Kareena has bagged a Rs 25-million (equaling 2.5 crores) contract for Baweja’s yet-untitled film. Baweja is letting loose his purse strings for this project because it will mark the launch of his son Harman in the tinsel town.
Kareena considers herself lucky to get an acting fee unheard-of for an actress in India.
"I guess it's just someone's protective eye over me. Otherwise how do you explain my place in Bollywood in spite of such a low success ratio?" she is quoted to have said.
Kareena is presently shooting for Priyadarshan’s next non-comedy film with Salman Khan in Chennai. She is particularly excited about the release of her latest movie Hulchul .
“Hulchul is my first comedy and my first film with Akshaye Khanna . He's a terrific co-star, and the film has shaped up really well. After Priyadarshan's two earlier comedies Hera-Pheri and Hungama , I feel Hulchul will complete a hat trick,” she said.
