Bollywood films at IFFI 30th Nov 2004

A good number of Bollywood films will be screened at the ongoing 35th International Film Festival of India in Goa in the Indian Panorama Mainstream section.
Bollywood is more conspicuous in this year’s festival compared to the ones in the past. The festival opened with performances by A R Rahman and newcomer Isha Shravani who danced to songs from Subhash Ghai ’s forthcoming movie Kisna .
Today, the Indian Panorama section began with the screening of hit movie Munnabhai MBBS . And in the coming days, those interested in Bollywood films will get to see their favorite films in the auditorium No. 1 at the venue.
Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Baghban will be screened on December 1 at 9.00pm. Bachchan is also slated to visit the festival tomorrow to inaugurate the screening of a film on AIDS to mark the World AIDS Day.
And over the period of coming ten days many Bollywood films like Koi Mil Gaya , Chameli , Maqbool and Meenaxi will be screened in the mainstream section.
The festival will also pay tributes to Bollywood greats like Nargis Dutt , Mehmood , Yash Johar and Vijay Anand with the screening of their films ‘Mother India’, ‘Bombay to Goa’, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and ‘Guide’ respectively.
