Last Friday’s release Dil Maange More has run into legal trouble after the cola giant Pepsi accused the makers of the film for using its commercial and copyrighted tagline Yeh Dil Maange More.
The film – starring Shahid Kapur , Soha Ali Khan , Ayesha Takia and Tulip Joshi – received a setback on Tuesday after the Delhi high court issued a stay order on the international distribution of the film in response to the petition by Pepsi.
Film’s director Anant Mahadevan is angry at the time Pepsi chose to rake up this issue. According to him, the title of the movie was made public long ago and was publicized on hoarding and in print media. His contention is that why did Pepsi not raise this issue earlier and why now when the movie has been commercially released and is expecting a good run abroad.
Mahadevan adds more conviction to his stand by revealing that the marketing team of the movie had in fact approached Pepsi for a tie-up given the fact that Shahid had in the past acted in Pepsi commercials.
Mahdevan also ruled out changing the title of his film now.
