Big B films go to the US

A retrospective of Amitabh Bachchan 's films will be held in the American cities New York and Washington in April.

Amitabh's wife Jaya Bachchan , along with Uma Da Cunha, have selected about 18 films from different decades of Big B's career for the retrospective. Out of these movies, only 11 will be selected for the final screening.

The retrospective will be held at the Walter Reade theatre of the Lincoln Centre in New York between April 8 and 19. After the Big Apple, the package will be screened in Washington at the Smithsonian Centre.

The package includes some of Bachchan's early films like Saudagar, Zanjeer , Bombay to Goa, Sholay , Namak Halal , Abhimaan and his recent movies like Aankhen , Aks , Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Dev .

There is a strong chance that two of Big B's forthcoming films - Black and Sarkaar will also be included in the package.

Bachchan will be the guest of honour at the retrospective and will interact with the American audiences after the screening of his films.

Festivals in Europe, too, have expressed interest in holding retrospective of Bachchan's films.
