Shabd: The dangerous game of love

Leena Yadav's directorial debut Shabd is a psychological thriller that promises a different love-triangle story.

Starring Sanjay Dutt , Aishwarya Rai and Zayed Khan , the film is based on a story by Leena and is made under the banner of Pritish Nandy Films.

Shabd tells the story of a writer who is coming to terms with the failure of his previous book.

Sanjay Dutt plays the writer, Shaukat, who is desperately looking for an inspiring story for his next novel. Ash plays his loyal wife Antara, who firmly stands beside him and wants to help him any way she can.

Zayed Khan plays Yash, a man in love with Antara. But she doesn't reciprocate back his feelings.

It is here Shaukat is struck with an idea for his book. He asks his wife to play the game of love with Yash. But, as the saying goes, if you play with fire, you will get burnt.

While playing the game of love, Antara finds herself drawn towards Yash. Their relationship gets complex and the whole situation spins out of Shaukat's control.

Leena Yadav , movie's director, has previously directed television serials like Sanjivani and Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai. She alleges that Shabd is not a skin flick as it is being made out by some after seeing the hot promos featuring Ash and Dutt.

Leena clarifies that the intimate scenes between Ash and Dutt are part of a song Chahaton Ka Silsila and have been shot in "very dignified and aesthetic manner".
