Always nurturing a desire to make a mark as an actress in Bollywood, Koena rejected numerous item number offers like in Kaal with Shah Rukh Khan , in The Rising with Aamir Khan , in Vidhu Vinod Chopra 's Parineeta and even in Chameli . 
But her Insan , in which she was paired opposite Ajay Devgan , proved to be a dud at the box-office. But Koena hasn't lost all hope as yet. The Bengali bombshell is upbeat about her next film titled 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena', in which she is paired opposite Fardeen Khan . Directed by Feroze Khan , 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' has Koena playing a doctor named Natasha. The half of the movie is over and it is likely to be released in June or July this year. Koena, who recently rejected a guest role in Prakash Jha 's 'Apaharan', starring Devgan, has also opted out of David Dhawan 's 'Shaadi Number One' as there were six heroines in the movie. Koena has ruled out doing any item numbers in the future and is hopeful that one day she will get an opportunity to act with big stars. Hope 'Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena' does wonders for Koena's career. |
