SCOOP!! & NEWS Bunty Aur Babli on joyride abroad 02nd June 2005  20.00 IST By Nitika Desai   Abhishek Bachchan , Rani Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Bunty Aur Babli seems to have taken the fancy of movie buffs abroad. The antics of two cons in the Shaad Ali-directed movie may have been met with a mixed response in India, but Bunty Aur Babli is enjoying a good run in the US and the UK. The film opened in more than fifty theatres in North America and – as per the estimates – made a decent amount of $440,000 in four days run over the weekend. The movie has surpassed the collections in equal number of days by other flicks like Kaal , Waqt – A Race Against Time and Dhoom . In the UK, Bunty Aur Babli shot straightaway to the 9th position on the charts. It opened in thirty theatres and raked in an amount approximating $300,000 in its initial three days. The main highlight of the movie is the father-son duo Amitabh and Abhishek who come together on the big screen for the first time. Its heroine Rani Mukherjee too enjoys considerable popularity among the NRIs in the US and the UK.
