SCOOP!! & NEWS Shah Rukh Khan – The King on Star Gold and MTV 09th June 2005  09.00 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau   Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been voted as the numero uno by not one but two television channels. SRK beat Salman Khan in a neck-to-neck race for Star Gold’s ‘Sabsey Favourite Kaun’ award. Star Gold conducted a viewer poll through SMS votes and got the response across six categories including favourite actress, favourite comic star, favourite newcomer and so on. The other channel where SRK triumphed is the music channel MTV. The superstar has been unanimously voted as the MTV Youth Icon for 2005. The MTV Youth Icon represents the young and vibrant Indian globally. For this spot, SRK beat Azim Premji, Sonia Gandhi, Manish Malhotra, Irfan Pathan and Sonu Nigam . Millions of Indian voters choose their favourite Youth Icon amongst the leading newsmakers of the country. So it won’t be an understatement to say that Bollywood is ruled by the King Khan.
