Shot from start to end in London, ‘Chocolate’ tells the story of seven Indians who are under the scanner of the London police for certain bizarre incidents that shatter the city’s peace around Christmas time.
Film’s director Vivek Agnihotri says ‘Chocolate’ is a code word.
“Just like we have Indian slangs for one lakh (peti) and one crore (khoka), ‘Chocolate’ is a slang for illegal goods,” says Agnihotri.
The film has Anil Kapoor playing a lawyer who is a chain smoker. Arshad Warsi plays a playboy and Sunil Shetty plays an obsessive lover. Emraan Hashmi plays a musician while Tanushree Dutta plays a temptress and Sushma Reddy, a journalist.
Anil Kapoor says that he was initially skeptical about signing a film with a new producer and a new director.
“But when I heard the script of the film, I was convinced. I had to do it, otherwise I would've regretted the decision all my life,” Anil says.
‘Chocolate’ is slated to hit the theatres in July this year.
