When skin show is the requirement of roles!

“It is the requirement of my role,” is how the bold belles of Bollywood justify their cloth-shedding acts in films.

The trend of skinshow that erupted with a slew of sleazy films has not died down. In the offing are a good number of similar titillating movies. After all, even if such movies don’t prove to be hits, they still make reasonable profits in regions other than metropolises.

Meghna Naidu and Payal Rohatgi , two of the dare-bare babes of Hindi films, promise nothing short of a ‘feast for the eyes’ in their forthcoming films.

Meghna’s next movie Mashooq, sources say, will have her going a step further than what she did in her debut Hawas . In the movie, Meghna plays an obsessive girl who can “go to any lengths” to get her lover.

When a news daily asked Meghna about her eye-popping exposure in Mashooq, she said: “Since it's a role with a lot of passion, I was supposed to give some glamorous and sexy shots to do justice to it. If I exposed, I did so because that was what the character required.”

Well said!

Now, over to Payal Rohatgi who will be seen in a lesbian movie Men Not Allowed and a sleazy thriller called Laila.

‘Men Not Allowed’ has Payal playing a girl who gets physically intimate with another girl, played by newcomer …Laila, on the other hand, has Payal playing a con woman who uses her beauty and sex appeal to dupe people.

What is Payal’s rationale for her bold acts in these movies?

“I don’t deliberately look for such roles. It is just that I have a personality that fits these roles. And remember, the exposure is a demand of these roles,” she says.

Well, how could it be otherwise? Writers pen such roles keeping in mind the dictum “sex sells”. And perhaps this genre of sleazy films is just a byproduct of the opening mindset of Indian moviegoers, some of whom definitely seek quality titillation for the price of their ticket money.
