The movie, slated to hit the theatres on Friday (Sept 23), has been shot mainly in Mauritius, except a few portions in Stockholm, Sweden.
Although Bhumika doesn’t play a full-fledged role in the film, she shot for her marginal stint for 25 days in Mauritius. And the experience, she says, was a memorable one.
“I had a blast shooting there. It was the most peaceful shooting experience that I have had in recent times. As an actor, I treasure that a great deal. I need the right atmosphere to give a good take…It was 25 days of Mauritian bliss,” a website quotes Bhumika as saying.
Bhumika said what made her most comfortable was the easy-going unit and the positive vibes on the set, apart from her cordial co-stars Karan Sharma , Amitabh Bachchan and Revathy .
Dil Jo Bhi Kahey tells the story of an Indian family set in Mauritius. Amitabh and Revathy play parents of Karan Sharma who goes to Stockholm to study and falls in love with a foreign girl, played by Briton Annabelle Wallace . Bhumika plays a doctor with whom Karan’s mother tries to fix his marriage.
Bhumika is very optimistic about Karan. She calls him a “natural” actor with “subtle” expressions.
About Mr. Bachchan, Bhumika says she was flattered by his energy, enthusiasm and humility.
