'Garam Masala' girls have hot temper

Just like the title of their forthcoming movie, newcomers Daisy Bopanna and Neetu Chandran do have hot temper.

Daisy, Neetu and another newcomer Nargis are making their Bollywood debut in Priyadarshan movie Garam Masala with Akshay Kumar and John Abraham in the male lead.

Even when the movie was in the making stages, there were reported incidents of repeated arguments between Daisy and Neetu. And now, on Tuesday, October 18, the two debutantes engaged in a full-blown verbal spat during the shooting of the Garam Masala promo for B4U TV.

The incident happened at Filmistan Studios. Before the shooting of the promo could begin, the three girls were asked to wait in a room while the cameras and lights were being set up.

The room, incidentally, had no chairs to sit. So Daisy, the outspoken of the three, ordered for two chairs (one for her and another for Nargis). In the meantime, Neetu, the meeker one, herself arranged for two chairs.

Daisy assumed that Neetu had taken her chair and asked her to get up. But Neetu refused. She had already tolerated Daisy’s tantrums on previous occasions and this time she decided to take her head on.

What followed was a verbal spat in front of the crewmembers. Daisy reportedly called Neetu a “ganwaar from Bihar”. Neetu, too, held her ground and asked Daisy to mind her language. She told Daisy that she wouldn’t take her “nonsense” no more. It took both the girls some time to cool down and go about the job they had come for.

Meanwhile, the movie’s producer Ratan Jain seems to be fully aware of the ego clashes between his movie’s heroines. He has reportedly asked them to iron out differences between them and be on cordial terms, given that the movie’s Diwali release is just a few days away.

When Daisy and Neetu were asked about the spat by a website, the two girls said they were just having “fun”.

It looks like the two girls have got the producer’s message.
