It has been a “slogging” journey for Neetu from Bihar to the film industry in Mumbai. Three years ago, this spunky girl left her hometown and headed for Mumbai to make her own place in the showbiz industry. 
A black belt in Taekwando, Neetu provided for her sustenance by doing several ads and some movies down south. And all this while, she had the support of her two friends and her brother, who came to Mumbai to give her company in a city that was alien to her. Neetu’s big break came with Priyadarshan’s Garam Masala that pitches her opposite Akshay Kumar . In the film, Neetu plays a hot girl. Among the other newcomers in the movie, Daisy Bopanna plays a cute babe, while Nargis plays a shy girl. “I'm all about short skirts and long strides in Garam Masala,” Neetu is quoted as saying. Neetu also downplays the much-spoken-about spats with her co-star Daisy while shooting for the movie. She deems it natural for newcomers to be insecure about their respective parts in the movie. Neetu denies there are any negative vibes between any of the three girls. As for Garam Masala, Neetu is thankful to the movie’s producers, Venus, and director Priyadarshan . She is also all praise for Akshay Kumar who, she says, helped her immensely during the shooting. Garam Masala will hit the theatres on November 2, along with Priyadarshan’s other movie Kyon Ki .
