Aishwarya put off by bold scenes?

Reports have it that Aishwarya Rai has objected to some bold scenes she has shot for her forthcoming movie Mistress Of Spices .

The film, directed by Paul Mayeda Berges, is based on the novel of the same title by author Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. Aishwarya pairs with 44-year-old actor Dylan McDermott in the film.

It is learnt that Aishwarya is unhappy about the inclusion of certain bold scenes she has shot with McDermott in the movie. One of these scenes is a bedroom sequence in which McDermott is shown brushing his hand gently on Ash’s bareback. In fact, this scene also features in one of the movie’s promotional posters.

There have been reports alleging that such bold scenes have been deleted from the movie’s final cut, but the film’s co-producer Deepak Nayar has denied it.

However, the movie’s distributors are worried because neither the movie’s director nor Aishwarya Rai has begun promoting the film in India. The film is less than a week away from hitting the theatres.

Paul Mayeda Berges is Gurinder Chadha ’s husband. ‘Mistress Of Spices’ is his directorial debut. The film is slated to hit the theatres on April 28 in India.

Meanwhile, Aishwarya is presently busy shooting for Mani Ratnam’s movie Guru in Karnataka, South India. On Friday, she also injured her hand during a rehearsal when the cycle she was riding rammed into a signpost. The actress has sustained minor injury and will return to work in a day or two.
