The sex siren who redefined the limits of skin exposure in Bollywood films is now a changed girl.
Payal Rohatgi is moving beyond skin flicks and is eager to carve a little niche of her own in the tinsel town. To this end, she has already begun working in some projects made by reputed production houses.
The coming Friday will see Payal playing a small but important role in Subhash Ghai production 36 China Town . After that, Payal will be seen in a cameo in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate . And she already is playing a meaty role in another Ghai film titled Apna Sapna Money Money .
These small tentative steps, Payal says, are going to change her image in the eyes of the audience, the eyes that now scan hardly anything more in Payal than her anatomical wares.
To top it all, Payal is now learned to have signed for a commercial that will feature her alongside none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan . The ad is for a battery brand and will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar, the director of Parineeta .
Does this image overhaul means that Payal will shun sleazy flicks in the future?
Payal says what matters the most to her now is whether her role in a movie has substance or not. The rest is secondary.
