A pickpocket had a hard time getting away from Akshay Kumar after nicking the actor’s wallet.
The incident reportedly happened in Barcelona, where Akki, his wife Twinkle Khanna and their son had been recently holidaying.
It happened one evening when Akshay had gone to a casino to try his luck at gambling. While coming out of the casino, a well-built local bumped into Akshay and almost tripped him over.
When Akshay regained his balance he noticed that the other man was running away. Akki checked his wallet and found it missing.
Then what, instincts took over Akki and he chased the pickpocket for two blocks.
Perhaps the thief didn’t know that Akki is trained in martial arts and works out regularly. So during the chase while Akki kept closing in on the pickpocket, the thief gave up and threw Akki’s walled back at him.
Akshay says he reacted spontaneously, although he does admit that the best thing would have been to let the man go as he might have been carrying some weapon.
Akki’s wife Twinkle, too, wasn’t happy with her hubby’s adventurous chase.
