While Sarkar was inspired from Francis Ford Coppola’s film ‘Godfather’, the movie’s sequel will be completely original.
Even before comparisons could arise, Ram Gopal Varma has made it clear that ‘Sarkar 2’ will have nothing common with ‘Godfather 2’ in which actor Al Pacino (as the son) takes over the mafia business after the death of his father (Marlon Brando).
The movie’s story will reportedly revolve around the politics of rural Maharashtra and Delhi.
Recently, there have been rumours that Ramu has deferred the idea of making ‘Sarkar 2’ because Aishwarya Rai, the leading lady, is giving second thoughts to the project.
However, the maverick filmmaker has lashed out at such rumours and announced that the movie will indeed be made as scheduled in March 2007.
The movie’s three main stars, Big B, Abhishek and Aishwarya, have reportedly confirmed their dates to the filmmaker.
Ramu is presently busy with his dream project Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay , which lands into a new controversy everyday second day.
