A phone call from Hollywood actor Richard Gere has made Shilpa Shetty exuberant.
Shilpa, who is shooting for Anurag Basu’s movie Metro nowadays, got a ‘thank you’ call from Gere early this week.
Reportedly, Gere called to acknowledge and appreciate the contribution Shilpa has been making for creating AIDS awareness through her work for the Heroes Project, of which Gere is also a part.
Shilpa has also acted in Bollywood movie Phir Milenge , which gave AIDS related message.
Gere’s call was not wholly unanticipated, as someone from Heroes Project had already told Shilpa that the Hollywood star wanted to talk to her.
Shilpa, who is a self-confessed fan of Gere and an admirer of the social work he’s been doing in this part of the world, was reportedly overwhelmed while talking with the Hollywood star.
She, in her turn, thanked him for the work he has done with Naz Foundation and Gere Foundation India Trust to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS in India.
Shilpa will take out time from her shooting routine to attend the World Aids Day function on December 1 in Delhi.
