The young actress’s simplicity in Sooraj Barjatya’s latest movie Vivah seems to have caught the talented painter’s fancy.
Not every actress in Bollywood can catch the eye of M. F. Husain. It takes a Madhuri Dixit or Tabu to stir up the imagination of the painter usually known for painting horses.
Not only did Husain immortalize Madhuri and Tabu on canvas, he also made films, Gajagamini and Meenaxi , with the two actresses respectively.
Now, Amrita Rao seems to have become the painter’s latest muse. Husain has reportedly seen ‘Vivah’ a couple of times and is said to be impressed by Amrita’s beauty and simplicity in the film.
So much that Husain has decided to paint a portrait of Amrita.
The actress is thrilled at the thought of being painted by Husain. She says deep inside she had always wanted to be his muse.
Well, Amrita’s wish seems to have been granted. May be we’ll see her in Husain’s next film as well.
