‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ goes the adage and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan lived up to it fully recently.
Recently organizer of the Global Indian Films Awards in Kuala Lumpur, Sunil Shetty was left in the lurch when two of his star performers mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan and SRK had to withdraw from performing at the event at the last minute.
Bachchan claimed that he couldn’t attend the event due to his mother’s illness and unfortunately SRK had suffered a hamstring pull while shooting for his film.
However, SRK did not want to let down his friend Sunil and also his eager fans in Kuala Lumpur and so he decided to attend the event and do a small anchoring bit in spite of his injury.
Reports add that although SRK’s doctor had advised him not to strain himself, he went ahead and agreed for the sake of Shetty and was on the stage for 40 minutes anchoring a part of the awards ceremony.
SRK will also be seen in a song for good friend Arjun Rampal ’s home production I See You .
SRK will also be coming together with Jugal Hansraj who will be directing an animation film for Yashraj Films .
Seems like SRK is game to help all of his friends who are trying to make it in Bollywood in any way he can.
