Hollywood actress Ashley Judd will be coming to Mumbai next month to promote AIDS awareness.
Sushmita Sen and Ashley Judd will work together for an AIDS awareness campaign in Mumbai’s red light area.
Judd, who is Global Ambassador for YouthAIDS, has been doing her bit to promote AIDS awareness in various parts of the world for more than two years. In the month of March, Judd (known for her roles in films like ‘Kiss The Girls’ and ‘High Crimes’) will be meeting sex workers in Mumbai, along with Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen.
Sush sees it as a very good opportunity to use her celebrity status to promote a noble cause. She says such work with the needy and under-privileged people keeps her “grounded to reality”.
On February 18, Sunday, Sush, along with her daughter Renee, visited St Catherine's Home in Andheri and spent the day with special HIV-infected children.
During Sush’s visit, latest Hollywood flick ‘Bridge to Terabithia’ was screened for the children. The actress shared jokes with kids and also gave them candies and chocolates.
Now, Sush is looking forward to visit Mumbai’s red light area with Ashley Judd to meet the city’s sex workers in March.
