Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has been dropped as the brand ambassador of Tag Heuer watches for a younger and more successful former Miss World Priyanka Chopra as the new face of the brand.
The brand’s managers probably think this is a wise move, considering that Sushmita makes more news for her boyfriends than for her movies.
For now we have the Don team promoting the brand, Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka.
Recently Priyanka was felicitated at an event held to honour women's achievements from various fields like education, cinema etc.
Priyanka was felicitated for her contribution to the film industry and several other male celebrities like Sanjay Dutt , Mithun Chakraborty and Gulshan Grover were also seen cheering on the ladies.
Priyanka was very happy to be felicitated and said "it means that I have managed to do something significant in my small career span and I have made my parents a bit proud of me."
Dutt too acknowledged the power of the presence of successful women in a person's life and said, "I know what positive changes a successful woman can bring in her family and society at large."
Veteran actor Dilip Kumar and his wife Saira Banu also attended the event, designer Anna Singh, Miss India-Earth Amruta Patki, Karan Johar , Madhur Bhandarkar etc were seen at the event. Yash Chopra and wife Pamela also made an appearance at the event.
