So far Irrfan Khan was usually associated with serious and intense roles. Anurag Basu’s movie Metro has changed that notion.
There is more to Irrfan than meets the eye. The man with a serious and mature face showed a remarkable flair for humour in ‘Metro’. Critics, regardless of whether they liked the movie or not, have unanimously praised Irrfan’s performance in the flick.
David Dhawan , the king of slapstick comedy, had been thinking of signing Irrfan for a movie. When Dhawan saw Irrfan in ‘Metro’, he was highly impressed. So much that Dhawan has now signed Irrfan for a full-on comedy to be directed by him.
By the way, Irrfan has already acted in a full-fledged comedy film called ‘Dubai Return’. But the film is still to hit the theatres.
Irrfan says he loves doing comedies and is eager to work with David Dhawan.
