Govinda raves about new friend Salman Khan

Govinda says he is deeply touched by the large heartedness of Salman Khan and Sohail Khan .

Govinda, who is beginning his second innings in Bollywood, is thankful to the two Khans for giving him a plum role in their home production Partner , which is presently doing well at the theatres.

Even though Govinda was part of films like Bhagam Bhaag and Salaam-e-Ishq early this year, it is ‘Partner’ that has eventually given his career a new lease of life. And Govinda credits both Salman and Sohail for this.

"When I was down and out they could've given me any role, I'd have happily accepted. They instead gave me a parallel role to Salman in 'Partner," Govinda told a news agency.

In fact, Govinda was so touched by the magnanimity of the Khans that he simply refused to take any money for working in ‘Partner’. In response, Sohail Khan gifted a Mercedes car to Govinda.

And now that talks are on for another Sohail Khan production venture with Salman and Govinda, the latter is again ruling out the possibility of taking any money from the Khans.

Govinda says the Khans have welcomed him as a part of their family. And he won’t charge a penny for doing their next film. He adds that it is an emotional decision.

By the way, Govinda’s career has begun to look up. He is already getting offers from many other filmmakers.
