Shah Rukh Khan might act in Shirish Kunder’s next film despite the fact that Kunder’s first film Jaaneman was a flop.
His directorial debut may have been a dud, but Jaaneman did showcase Kunder’s skills as a visionary with deft command over technicalities of filmmaking. Now, Kunder is set to direct his second film.
Titled Joker , the movie will be a sci-fi action thriller with lots of special effects. Kunder himself will co-produce this film.
Tinsel tattle has it that Kunder has approached Shah Rukh to play the lead role in ‘Joker’. In fact, reports go on to say that SRK’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment’s SFX department will have a major role in doing special effects for the film.
Kunder has finalized a rough draft of the film’s script. He was waiting to get the rights of the film’s title from producer Ratan Jain who had originally got the title (Joker) rights for Venus Films. Now that Kunder has acquired the title rights, he is working on the final draft of the script.
Given the fact that SRK is very fond of Farah Khan (who is directing his Om Shanti Om ) his fondness may extend to her husband Shirish Kunder, too. Sources say there is a strong chance that SRK would give his nod to ‘Joker’.
By the way, SRK would soon begin shooting for South-Indian director Shankar’s sci-fi thriller Robot .
