Upen Patel’s career graph is on the rise. And the actor is absolutely overjoyed by it.
Even though it has been more than a year since Upen Patel got his foot in the door to tinsel town, he had a hard time winning the confidence of producers in the film industry. It was the success of Namastey London early this year that turned things around in his favour.
Today, Upen is in a secure place. He has signed a three-film deal with producer Kumar Mangat ( Omkara ) and has already begun shooting for Mangat’s film One Two Three .
Now, the latest buzz has it that Upen is in talks with production house Shri Ashtavinayak for a three-film deal worth 1.5 crore.
If the deal comes through, Upen will graduate to a higher bracket in Bollywood.
Besides this, Upen is also acting in choreographer-turned-filmmaker Ganesh Acharya’s comedy Money Hai Toh Honey Hai which features Govinda and Irrfan Khan in main roles.
Upen, who came to Mumbai with just rupees 50 grand in his pocket, says he finds himself on the verge of fulfilling his dream of being a Bollywood star. He ascribes his success to sheer hard work and guidance from seniors like Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt .
