Reeling under a state of emergency and curbs on information, the people in the Pakistani city of Karachi desperately looking forward to have their share of recreation as they await a special release of Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal .
The Bollywood film about football, starring John Abraham , will be released in Karachi later this month and is expected to be a big hit, distributors say.
The frenzy surrounding the movie has already been overwhelming as newspapers Sunday carried big advertisements announcing its release very soon.
Circumventing a blanket ban on screening of Indian films, 'Goal' has been allowed as Pakistani laws do not disallow Bollywood films made by non-Indian producers in locations outside India, Nadeem Mandviwalla a well known exhibitor and distributor said.
This new flick is also due to be released in India and worldwide next Friday.
The movie, also starring Bipasha Basu and Arshad Warsi , will be the fifth movie with an Indian star cast -- after Taj Mahal , Awarapan , Kafila and 'Godfather' -- to be shown on the big screen in Pakistan in the last few months.
With the exception of ‘Taj Mahal’, the other three films were made on international locations by producers not based in India.
The Pakistani government had given a special permission for the screening of 'Taj Mahal', a period film which, however, didn't do well in the cinema halls.
