Plans are afoot to revive the now defunct RK Films banner.
The three sons of Raj Kapoor – Randhir Kapoor , Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor – are reportedly coming together to restart their home production. And carrying the legacy forward would be Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor . The two stars are set to act in films under RK banner.
Confirming this, Kareena’s dad Randhir Kapoor told a Mumbai tabloid that a film with Bebo in the lead is certainly on the cards. Randhir said the movie would be a youthful romantic comedy.
About newcomer Ranbir Kapoor, the first male actor from fourth generation of the Kapoors, Randhir says the entire Kapoor family stands by his debut film Saawariya .
The RK banner is also planning a film with Ranbir in the lead. Ranbir’s dad Rishi Kapoor had previously asked Raju Hirani to direct a movie for RK banner, but the latter had turned down the offer because he did not want to leave the production house of Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Randhir Kapoor says both the films starring Kareena and Ranbir will begin next year.
