HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Making hay while Shilpa shines12th Dec 2007 16.24 IST By Aparajita Ghosh To cash in on the steadily rising international popularity of Shilpa Shetty , a producer downsouth has come up with an innovative idea. ‘Auto Shankar’, a Kannada film that Shilpa worked in two years ago, has been dubbed in Hindi and retitled ‘Shilpa The Big Don’. The idea is clearly to make some big bucks by attracting crowds to the cine theatres through raunchy posters of the movie, co-starring Upendra . 
To further add spice to the film, two Hindi songs on Shilpa Shetty has been added. The lyrics of the songs are so corny and cheap that it embarrasses us to present a few lines of them. But here they are anyway. The words of one song go: “Shilpa Shetty re, roop aisa ke loot jaaye hum toh yahin re.” The second song goes: “Shilpa Shetty iski ho gayi, Aishwarya Rai, Mumtaz bhi gayi.” If this is not enough, there are a number of smutty and sleazy dialogues in the film. Shilpa, who has been staging her show ‘Miss Bollywood’ in Europe, is shocked to know how an old film of hers is being dubbed in Hindi and re-released without even informing her. She is likely to hold a press conference soon to clear her stand on the movie.
