Anil Kapoor had reportedly suggested to director Anees Bazmee that his name should appear before Akshay’s in the credits because of seniority.
And there were reports that claimed that Akshay was adamant on having his name on the top. But such reportage seems misleading and irresponsible, to say the least.
Akshay spoke to Bazmee a few days back and told him that it did not matter if his name was lower down the order. As a result, Akshay’s name now comes fourth – after Feroz Khan, Nana and Anil.
Speaking to a news channel, Akshay showed his characteristic sense of humour while answering a question on this name game: “I am not in this power game. The only power I want is to choose good scripts, do good films and be with my family. In fact, even in my family I have no power. So you see, I am quite a powerless guy.”
It is for this combination of humility and humour that we love Akshay.
