Comedy is not my forte: Ranvir Shorey

Many would find it hard to believe but VJ-turned-actor Ranvir Shorey says doing comedy is not his forte.

Ranvir, who is riding high on his success with movies like Khosla Ka Ghosla and ‘Bheja Fry', admits that comedy is not his cup of tea and he finds it difficult to be comic at times.

"I don't know how to do comedy and make people go crazy with laughter," he said adding that comic scenes are just about a perfect blend of timing and humour.

The actor who has queued up with his director-friend Rajat Kapoor for the third time in the upcoming movie Mithya , hopes to make it big.

"I am playing role of a struggling actor, who comes to the city of dreams to fulfill the same and end up becoming a mafia don," says the cheeky actor who played a middle-class man in the Rajat Kapoor's 'Mixed-Doubles.'

The actor, who made his debut opposite Manisha Koirala in the film Ek Chhoti Si Love Story a few years back, hopped to fame with one of the most popular show on television "The Great Indian Comedy Show" along with his buddy and co-star Vinay Pathak .

Ranvir, who is sharing the screen with actress Neha Dhupia in 'Mithya' is all praise for her.

"Neha is very good friend of mine as we have done two films together. I share a good rapport with her as we both understand each other comfort level. There is nothing more in it."

For Ranvir, last year proved to be a successful one, where three out of his five movies released did good business at the box office and paved the way for him to emerge as an acknowledged actor.
