Actress Chitrangada Singh is ending her self-imposed exile and returning to films.
When her first film “Hazaron Khwaishein Aisi” released, Chitrangada won many hearts with her captivating beauty and talent. She stood at the verge of a promising career in films. But all she did was a forgettable film titled Kal – Yesterday and Tomorrow , before cutting herself off from media and filmdom and sinking herself into domestic life with her golfer husband.
Now, after a two-year-long sabbatical, Chitrangada is set to make a comeback to Bollywood with director Onir’s next film titled Sorry Bhai .
Once again the film stars Onir’s favourite Sanjay Suri in the lead role. Sharman Joshi plays his brother. Chitrangada plays the woman in their lives. The film tells the story of two brothers whose lives are turned upset by the coming of a woman.
According to Onir , he was looking for an actress for ‘Sorry Bhai’ when someone told him that Chitrangada was thinking of returning to films. Onir hunted out her mobile number and sent a copy of the script through email. Within hours Chitrangada replied.
Onir then flew to Delhi where he met Chitrangada and she finally signed on the dotted line.
The film’s shooting will begin in the coming days in Mumbai, followed by a long schedule in Mauritius. Chitrangada’s costumes in the film are done by Anita Dongre.
