Can the little taara outshine the superstar of Bollywood in a contest for the ‘Best Actor’ trophy? If yes, then history would be created.

At last Darsheel Safary ’s wish has been granted. After winning the Best Child Actor at Screen Awards, Darsheel had contended that he should have been nominated in the Best Actor category since he played the leading part in Taare Zameen Par .

Now, Darsheel has been nominated in the ‘Best Actor in Leading Role’ category for Filmfare Awards opposite Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan (nominated for Chak De India and Om Shanti Om ), Akshay Kumar ( Namastey London ), Abhishek Bachchan ( Guru ) and Shahid Kapur ( Jab We Met ).

According to experts, the real battle will be between Darsheel and Shah Rukh and there is every chance that the kid may beat the superstar at his own game. If that happens, it would be the first time in Bollywood history when a reigning superstar would be beaten by a newcomer, and that too a kid.

Aamir Khan has also been nominated in two categories – best director and supporting actor. Tisca Chopra has been nominated in Best Actress in Supporting role. ‘Taare Zameen Par’ is nominated in Best Film category.
