Upen Patel’s disclosure of his differences with the director of his film One Two Three has evoked a strong response from the director.
After Upen Patel was not called on stage at the music launch of ‘One Two Three’ last month, the young lad lost his cool and spoke in the media about the disagreements he had with director Ashwani Dhir during the making of the film. Upen had also stressed that he has just a special appearance and an item song in the film.
But the director has a different version.
Ashwani Dhir says Upen is lying if he says that he has just a guest role.
“Upen’s character is integral part of the film’s plot. He is not the film’s item boy. If I wanted someone to do an item number, then why not a big star? The truth is Upen has a proper role in the film. Yes, I have deleted his song with Tanishaa by about half a minute because the film was getting longer than we wanted,” says Ashwani.
In another interview, Ashwani gave Upen a piece of his mind by saying: “Upen is like a small child clamouring for attention all the time.”
